Once your server is running, the bot posts the live connection URL in your Discord channel each time the server starts.

When the last player disconnects, the bot waits 10 minutes for someone else to join. If nobody does, the server backs up its save and shuts down. Next start cold-starts in about 30seconds. Saves back up every 5 minutes while the server is running.

Is Space Age DLC supported?

Yes. Toggle Space Age in the server config and the save loads with the expansion enabled. Each player still needs their own Space Age license to join.

Can I upload an existing save?

Yes — use `/host world-transfer` in Discord. `direction:export` gives you a private link to download your world as a `world.tar.gz` backup; `direction:import` gives you an upload link and we restore that archive on the next start. To bring an existing save in, wrap your Factorio `saves/` folder as a `world.tar.gz` — run export once first to see the exact layout to match.

Does this handle late-game megabases?

Headless servers shift CPU work to the host, but megabase simulation is still demanding. Auto-shutdown still applies when nobody is on, so treat the server as a checkpoint between sessions, not a 24/7 megabase host.

Can I switch to a different game later?

Yes. We back up your Factorio save before the switch and restore it when you come back.
