Once your server is running, the bot posts the live connection URL in your Discord channel each time the server starts.

When the last player disconnects, the bot waits 10 minutes for someone else to join. If nobody does, the server backs up its save and shuts down. Next start cold-starts in about 300seconds. Saves back up every 5 minutes while the server is running.

Does my world persist between sessions?

Yes. Your world saves to cloud storage every time the server shuts down (auto-shutdown or /host stop) and is restored automatically on your next launch, exactly where you left it. On stop we flush the world to disk before backing it up, so nothing built in your last session is lost.

Can I password-protect my server?

Every server is password-protected automatically — no setup needed. Your unique join password is generated the moment the server starts and shown right in Discord alongside the connection details.

Which version of ARK do you run?

The final stable ARK: Survival Evolved build. ASE is no longer updated upstream, which is a feature here, not a drawback: the version is locked, so your world never breaks from a surprise patch and your server behaves the same every launch. (This is the original Survival Evolved, not the newer Survival Ascended, which has no Linux dedicated server.)

Are mods supported?

Not at launch. Every server runs the vanilla dedicated build with no Workshop mods. Mod support is on the roadmap.

Why is the first boot slow?

ARK is a heavy game and takes its time loading. The very first launch of a fresh world can take 5–15 minutes; later starts still take a few minutes while the map loads into memory. The connection details post to Discord the moment it is actually ready.

Can I switch to a different game on the same plan?

Yes. We back up your ARK world before the switch and restore it when you come back.
