Once your server is running, the bot posts the live connection URL in your Discord channel each time the server starts.

When the last player disconnects, the bot waits 10 minutes for someone else to join. If nobody does, the server backs up its save and shuts down. Next start cold-starts in about 60seconds. Saves back up every 30 minutes while the server is running.

Does my world persist between sessions?

Yes. Your world is created the first time the server boots, then saved to cloud storage every time it shuts down and restored automatically on the next start — so your progress is always waiting when you come back.

Can I password-protect my server?

Every server is password-protected automatically — no setup needed. Your unique join password is generated the moment the server starts and shown right in Discord alongside the connection details.

Can I choose a different map or use random world generation?

Not yet. Every server runs on Navezgane, 7 Days to Die's handcrafted built-in map — it skips the slow random-world generation step, so the server is playable minutes after it boots. Custom maps and random-world generation are on the roadmap.

Are mods supported?

Not at launch. The server runs the vanilla dedicated build. Mod support is on the roadmap.

Can I switch to a different game later?

Yes. We back up your 7 Days to Die world before any switch and restore it when you come back.
